RECOMMENDATION/CONCLUSION

Based on the all the data I collected, I can conclude that in overall customer’s are quite satisfy with Adidas product and services.  Customer’s has no doubt in the durability of material that used in produced Adidas product, however in term of price and design, Adidas might need to put in more effort  and come out with a newest design that can attract more customers. Adidas can also launch a promotion or give a special offer of price in a certain period of times to increase the sales volume and attract more customers.

Moreover, Adidas might also need to come out with a better idea on advertisement to promote and differentiate its product from its competitive. Because in overall, Adidas advertisement has less influence in consumer’s mind and therefore become one of its marketing weaknesses. I suggest that Adidas can invite famous athletes or artists as a brand spokesperson to make it a more memorable brand name in consumer mindset.

In term of services, customers also were quite satisfied with Adidas services they provided and I believe Adidas still able to improve their service to serve their customer even more sufficient to truly maximize their sales and make their customer satisfy and happy each time they enter and leave Adidas store.

RESEARCH RESULT

From interview 

by conducting a interview with three respondent ( respondent 1, 2,3) , I've can directly get more information on the satisfaction toward Adidas product.

the result form the interview showed that , most of them have heard of the brand  "Adidas" and did bought any product from Adidas before. however, they have different perception toward the brand name. respondent 1 said that his first perception of Adidas is a very famous football product company. where respondent 2 said he think that Adidas is a very high-class brand but with a high range of price on its product. Respondent 3 state that she is personally a Adidas fans and she think that Adidas is slightly different with other sports brands such as Nike or Puma.

besides that, respondents buy shoes and clothes wear from Adidas the most. except for respondent 3, she said sometime she will buy accessories from Adidas too, but very seldom. Three of them prefer buy it through the retail store. because is more convenience for them to purchase it wherever they passed by a shopping mall and they can personally tested the product on them.

Most respondent are satisfied with the quality and material used in Adidas product. in term of price, respondent 1 had mentioned that the price for football series are a little bit out of range. whereas for respondent 2 and 3, they both think that the price is OK, but with promotion sometime will be better. however, there is a slightly argument in term of design. they think that the design from Adidas is too standard without any stylish design that can attract them. respondent 2 said that he would actually prefer the design from Nike.

they have seen the advertisement before but sadly none of them are able to recall what is the most popular advertisement from Adidas. only respondent 1 are able to tell me that the most memorable spokesperson for him is the Lionel Messi and Katy Perry . in term of customer' service, they all are satisfied with the service provided by the staff as they are being served with greetings and smiles.

as for the suggestion part, respondent 1 suggest Adidas to make more improvement on the design; respondent 2 said is better for Adidas to lower down its price to attract more customers; where respondent 3 said that it would be more attractive if Adidas can provide a privilege card system for the loyalty buyer to enjoy member discounts and so on.

From questionnaire 





out of 10 respondent there are 6 person are male and the other 4 is female. we can see from here is that male is the majority of buyer's in Adidas product.

the age group of 21-30 implied a higher percentage, followed by 20 and below, 31-40 and the last is 40 and above. this shows that most of the buyers are between teenager's  and adult.
most Adidas buyer's receiving average income between RM 1000-3500. the higher income they had, the more disposable income they more willing to spend on Adidas product.

9 out of 10 respondent have tried Adidas product in the past and only 1 person never buy it before. overall Adidas is quite a famous sports brand for consumers. 

basically most of the respondent buy shoes from Adidas, followed by accessories 3, cloth wear 2 and sports 1.

  
the result showed that quality of Adidas is the most satisfied by consumers. followed by product choices and location, where the promotion and price is voted unsatisfied the most.

4 out of 10 agree that advertisement / spokesperson has influence on affecting people buying behavior, where the other 2 is strongly agree, followed by 2 neither agree nor disagree,and other 2 is disagree and strongly disagree respectively. 

in term of services, customer online services is vote by 3 consumer's, 3 vote for no improvement is needed, 2 vote for location, the other 2 vote for after-sales services and staff manners respectively. 

in overall, 3 out of 10 is very satisfy with Adidas, 2 is satisfy, another 2 is neither satisfy nor unsatisfied, 2 is unsatisfied and 1 is very unsatisfied.

most respondent vote for design and price as the main improvement in future , followed by improvement in advertising, and then customer services and product quality.

QUANTITATIVE METHOD ( INTERVIEW)


Beside the 10 set of survey question that i had done. i also conducted a face-to-face interview with 3 of the Adidas buyer's to gather more information and data about customer's satisfaction. below are the question i asked during the interview:


1. have you heard of Adidas before?
2. what is your first perception toward the brand " Adidas" ?
3. did you buy any Adidas product in the past?
4. which product you buy the most from Adidas?
5. where do you buy it? is the location convenience?
6. what do you think of Adidas quality?
7. what do you think of Adidas price range?
8.do you like the design from Adidas?
9.have you seen any advertisement from Adidas before? is it attractive?
10.are you satisfied with customer's service provided by Adidas staff?
11. what kind of improvement you can suggest to Adidas in the future?










QUALITATIVE METHOD ( QUESTIONNAIRE)

After i done my sampling unit and frame, i started to decide on my qualitative research method. the method that i had chosen is by conducting a survey to customer's of Adidas. this is a easy and time-saving method that allowed me to know more about buyer's opinion and detail toward the degree of satisfaction.


therefore, i prepared a 10 set of questionnaire that consisted of 10 question's regarding of Adidas product for me to conduct this survey. i randomly choose 10 customer's in Adidas KLCC and they are very kindly to help me answer all the question. here is my questionnaire :

RESEARCH METHOD


In order to complete my assignment, i need to collect data on customer opinion to support my assignment. therefore both the qualitative and quantitative research method will be used in my assignment to ask about customer's satisfaction. Before i start any of the research, i need to determine what is my focus group of my research areas. Out of so many Adidas outlet, i choose the outlet that located in KLCC with the highest number of shopper's to easy my process of interview. here is my sampling frame and unit :


For the sampling or method:
Population: Malaysia Citizen
Sampling Frame: Adidas consumer in Klang Valley
Sampling Unit: Adidas outlet in KLCC,
The age between 18 to 50 years old ,
Weekend ( sat & sun)
Peek time hour (12pm-  5pm)

INTRODUCTION

My name is Wong Huey Ming currently studying the TARUC Advance Diploma in Business Economic. To complete my individual assignment of ABDM 4064 Business Research , i was require to conduct a survey on customer satisfaction toward Adidas product. I will tell you my further discussion on the following post. 

Brief Company Background of____ ADIDAS_____


Adidas was founded in 1924 in Germany by two brothers Adi and Rudolf Dassler, but did not become a fully registered company until the 1940's. The original name of the company was "Dassler Shoes", however in 1948 Rudolf Dassler decided to start off his own company named Puma. Over the years, Adidas rapidly became one of the leading sports brands for athletes, and now the company has become a worldwide phenomenon! Once Rudolf Dassler left, Adi changed the name of the company to Adidas and founded the three striped logo. The three stripes were originally made to keep the foot stable, but eventually became the logo of the brand. In the past, Adidas has been part of many great competitions such as the Olympics and World cup. It has produced products for some of the best athletes including Muhammad Ali.

Adidas has a wide product range from footwear to clothing, accessories and sports. It has successfully make it one of the unique largest sport stores in the worldwide with different concept stop such as Adidas original, training, running and football.
